The Analyst Permitting plays a pivotal role in the successful deployment of telecommunications infrastructure by obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities, municipalities, and landowners. This role involves extensive research, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Areas of specialization include complete turn-key project management utilizing the P-6 scheduling tool, engineering design, permitting and drafting services, right-of-way acquisition and site surveys, records and technical documentation services, utility pole inspection and inventory, make-ready outside plant construction inspection. The company also provides emergency services consisting of aerial line crews, installation and repair maintenance technicians and copper and fiber splicing technicians.


Regulatory Compliance: Analyst Permitting stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations and ensure that the project complies with them. This may include zoning ordinances, environmental protection laws, safety regulations, and more

Analyst Permitting research and gather information about the specific permits, licenses, and approvals required for a project. They compile documentation, such as applications, plans, and environmental impact assessments, to support permit submissions.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Analysts identify potential risks and challenges related to permitting, such as delays, objections, or regulatory changes. They develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure smooth progress.

What you’ll do

  • Applying for City & County permits
  • Drafting TCP Requests
  • Determining municipal boundaries by use of county GIS maps
  • Reviewing and understanding job prints
  • Communicating with district inspectors, construction managers and sub-contractors
  • Keeping track of all payment receipts for permits
  • Manages all specialty plans (Utility plans, PE Plans, & P&P's)
  • Reviews and analyzes plans from engineers to make sure they are correct before permit coordinators submit to cities
  • Sends out requests to Engineering vendors for estimates and manages all communication with engineers
  • helps train new employees and available for assistance to his coworkers
  • Handles and tracks point man requirements for CDOT
  • Always updating reports in Arkham.
  • Would cover for the supervisor and their duties if the supervisor was on PTO.

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed.
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.


Additional qualifications


  • General office experience including filing, data entry and the ability to work in various computer software and programs with intermediate levels of skill.
  • Previous commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Experience reading contracts, understanding legal terminology and insurance requirements/policies.
  • Able to meet multiple urgent deadlines in quick and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, managers, and the public in both written and verbal formats.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with team.
  • Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner)
  • Attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.


Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 4 years of related work experience
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware (PC’s, tablets, printers, copiers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Project lifecycle and related work
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Experience working in telecommunications or utility construction
  • Previous commercial insurance experience preferred
