The Analyst, Project Control is responsible for managing financial and operational aspects of projects, ensuring they stay within budget, and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Project Control and Reporting:

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial planning and management of specific projects, including creating budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements and reports, providing insights on project performance and profitability
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial information, assisting in decision-making processes
  • Cash flow forecasting and project invoicing: Prepare project cash flow analysis and manage project billing. Monitor vendor payments and subcontractor billings as necessary
  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs, investigate variances, and implement cost containment measures to ensure projects remain within budget
  • Audit Support: Assist in the annual external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant with standards

Team Leadership & Development

  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Process & Controls

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial data
  • Provide management with timely variance analysis and actionable insights

Compliance & Audit

  • Liaise with external auditors during the annual financial statement
  • Maintain compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Oracle NetSuite experience preferred
  • Experience with construction/engineering/project management accounting (Percentage of Completion) preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
