How will you do it?

Job Profile: – Reconciliation Sub Ledger vs General Ledger (Procure-to-Pay)

Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced person to support the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) function by performing detailed Subledger (SL) vs General Ledger (GL) reconciliation and difference analysis. The role will ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely resolution of mismatches, thereby strengthening financial reporting, audit readiness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end analysis for reconciliation of SL vs GL difference for ARI & URI for Accounts Payable Ledger
• Identify, investigate, and analyse differences between subledger transactions and GL balances.
• Co-ordinate with IT team to fix the issues
• Track and monitor URI (Unreconciled Items) and ARI (All Reconciliation Items), ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
• Partner with Accounts Payable, RTR, and ERP support teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed reports highlighting root causes, trends, and recurring issues in SL–GL breaks.
• Support supervisor for activities related with reconciliations and variance explanations.
• Provide schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for reconciliations, adjustments, and closure of URI/ARI.
• Suggest process improvements and potential automation opportunities to reduce SL–GL breaks.

What we look

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (Master’s degree or professional certification preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, PTP operations, or financial reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Oracle Fusion preferred) and financial subledger-to-GL flows.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with finance, audit, and operations teams.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in handling large volume transactions and complex reconciliations.
• Exposure to URI/ARI tracking and clearance processes.
• Strong accountability, ownership, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Prior experience in reconciliation for GL Vs SL, supporting internal & external audits.
