Execute Shipping and Receiving tasks with accuracy and efficiency. These tasks are integral to the overall process and are subject to modification as required. As part of the Innovation Center team, the Freight and Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts as product flows in and out of the building, as well as assisting the team with moving freight throughout the building.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Inbound and Outbound Orders using the Eagle system. Maintain required Eagle system discipline as stipulated by Retail Services leadership and any guidelines established by Accounting. Develop and place product orders out of the Orgill DCs or via drop ship from our vendor partners.
- Inventory Accuracy and Audits: Planning and executing cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Tracking inventory data, identifying trends, and analyzing stock levels to prevent shortages or overages.
- Process Optimization: Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning Support: Collaborating with purchasing and planning teams to forecast future inventory needs based on sales data and production schedules.
- Reporting and Communication: Creating and distributing regular inventory performance reports to management.
- Other duties as required including but not limited to:
- Ensure work complies with safety regulations.
- Scan and sort incoming merchandise.
- Accurately receive and document all incoming products and packages.
- Assist in resolving order errors or discrepancies.
- Transfer ready merchandise from all areas and ship it out of the Shipping and Receiving dock.
- Various warehouse duties
- Travel to the annual Orgill Dealer Market and assist with setup and tear down as well as other trips as needed.
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines.
To perform effectively in this position, candidates must demonstrate the following abilities:
- Operate equipment proficiently (pallet jacks- electric and manual, forklifts, etc).
- Detail oriented
- Lift up to 70 lbs (team lift required for weights exceeding 70 lbs).
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
- Adhere strictly to the daily work schedule.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safety standards and comply with all safety policies and practices.
- Possess basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Possess basic proficiency in Google Sheets.
- Successfully complete training on the Epicor Eagle system.
- Manage all inbound and outbound orders as they pertain to the Eagle system.
- Maintain required Eagle system discipline as stipulated by Retail Services leadership and any guidelines established by Accounting.
