Title: Analyst


Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose :


  • Join our analytics team at Colgate-Palmolive, where you’ll focus on social media data and insights. Use your analytical skills to monitor risk, track trends, and provide insights that help us improve our digital presence and consumer experiences.

  • This is a collaborative, hands-on role where you'll need to be great at social media, digital analytics, and managing data. Plus, strong communication with stakeholders is key!


Responsibilities:


Social Media Listening & Data Management


  • Monitor Online Conversations: Monitor and analyze conversations across social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.), forums, news, blogs, and reviews

  • Analyze Data and Extract Insights: Utilize social listening tools to analyze large volumes of data, determine customer sentiment (positive, negative, neutral), and identify emerging themes or issues, also ensure data accuracy, relevance, and hygiene across projects

  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential "red flags," inconsistencies, or reputational risks in online discussions and promptly escalate them to relevant team or the crisis managing team


Analysis & Insights Support


  • Identify emerging themes, sentiment, and trends in online conversations

  • Support tagging, categorization, and thematic analysis of large verbatim datasets

  • Extract meaningful verbatims to support insights and storytelling


Reporting & Storytelling


  • Assist in creating recurring reports

  • Summarize findings into clear, concise insights for internal stakeholders

  • Support senior analysts in preparing presentations and client-ready deliverables


Collaboration & Learning


  • Work closely with senior team members to understand business objectives

  • Incorporate feedback to improve analysis quality and insight depth

  • Stay updated on social media platforms, digital trends, and analytics best practices


Required Qualifications:


  • Graduate in Mass Media, Management Studies, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in Data Insights / Analytics role

  • Proficient with social media management/monitoring tools and digital analytics platforms; strong Excel and Google Workspace skills.

  • Worked on Competition Intelligence solutions like Emplifi, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Synthesio, Profitero, Stackline, SEMrush, SimilarWeb

  • Should have worked in a client facing / stakeholder management role to understand business needs and draw hypothesis

  • Ability to Read , Analyze and Visualize data

  • Effective Verbal & Written Communication for Business engagement

  • Excellent presentation/visualization skills


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry

  • Knowledge of Data Transformation tools - R/Python, Snowflake

  • Working knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, DOMO, Lookerstudio, Sigma

  • Created/worked on automated Insights solution

  • Worked on Competition Intelligence solutions like Emplifi, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Synthesio, Profitero, Stackline, SEMrush, SimilarWeb

  • Understanding of Colgate’s processes, and tools supporting analytics (for internal candidates)

  • Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques

  • Good facilitation and project management skills
