Analyst Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

Monitoring Systems: Oversee the performance of automated equipment, and software driven processes through custom graphical user interfaces. Work with operators and shift supervisors to monitor equipment performance and resolve issues on the floor to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Troubleshooting: Perform hands-on troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults, equipment malfunctions and software issues to minimize downtime.

Maintenance Coordination: Execute and refine preventative maintenance plans in collaboration with maintenance team members. Utilize sensor data and diagnostic tools to identify potential failures to reduce unplanned downtime. Maintain accurate logs of system performance, incidents and maintenance activities.

Communication: Acting as the on-site expert, communicate with off-site support teams to troubleshoot complex issues and management to report system performance.

Team Training: Provide on the job training for junior operators and educate the production team on equipment operation, troubleshooting procedures and safety best practices.

Safety Compliance: Ensuring all operations adhere to safety standards such as OSHA regulations.


Qualifications:

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in a high volume setting with considerable exposure to industrial automation and equipment repair

Technical Proficiency: Deep experience with human-machine interfaces (HMIs), robotics, pneumatics, sensors, motor controls and troubleshooting production machinery.

Manual Dexterity & Physical Endurance: A high degree of concentration to monitor complex systems for long periods and spot potential problems before they occur. Comfortable working with tools, lifting parts, climbing ladders and spending significant time on the shop floor & in the control room.

Problem Solving & Initiative: Strong ability to think critically and act with a sense of urgency under pressure to respond to alarms and clear faults to minimize downtime.

Teamwork: Ability to work closely with Operations, Maintenance and external support teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field
