Major accountabilities:

Leadership and Management

  • Role models a leadership style, which is inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven.

  • Manages a diverse team (on/ off-shore) to deliver a high-performing organization and drive improvements/standard solutions, while driving a high degree of collaboration

  • Measures and manages the workforce to cultivate a customer service focus culture.

  • Builds and strengthens the capabilities of the team by identifying, deploying, developing, and overseeing talent within the function.

  • Provides leadership, training, and development to ensure unified teamwork and alignment with Sandoz Values and Behaviours

  • Sponsors and oversees new initiatives and/or projects, which will drive productivity and efficiency objectives.

  • Support documentation of processes and process improvement initiatives

  • Onboards and trains new team members to the team in a welcoming and efficient manner ensuring that they have required resources and knowledge to perform role effectively.

Service Delivery

  • Act as a technical and operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for TCM policy, processes, and systems. Manage controls and/or segregation of duties in all TCM processes and Systems.

  • Ensure proper accounting of financial transactions related to banking (cash pools, loans, etc.)

  • Ensure that accounting issues related to treasury.

  • Dailey reconciliation of bank activity and cash pooling transactions

  • Manage daily and monthly activities of internal baking sub pool.

  • Support continuous improvement programs, monitor, and report respective progress.

  • Support transition, project progress and critical deliverables such as knowledge transfer. Support alignment of existing processes to standards.

  • Support improvement initiatives of reduction of manual payment usage.

Compliance

  • Support local Controls & Compliance associates for TCM controls including preparation of SOX 404 or equivalent regulation.

  • Support Annual Benefits Audit process.

Key performance indicators:

  • Payments are accurate and reconciled timely.

  • Timely reconciliation of backtranslations

  • Timely resolution of banking issues

  • Customer satisfaction of service delivery and process specific KPIs in accordance with agreed SLAs

  • No unsatisfactory audit rating and timely execution of action plans

Minimum Requirements:
Experience & Skills :

  • 4+ years of financial experience for major company or division of large corporation.

  • Big 4 Audit background desirable

  • Experience in Cash Forecasting, Corporate Treasury and Banking experience

  • Previous experience in procure to pay or accounts payable preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Expertise in financial reporting and consolidation systems and strong Excel skills

  • Strong process design experience with demonstrated ability to organize high volume and complexity of activities into streamlined process.

  • Good people skills, leadership exposure

  • Strong communications skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant is preferred.

  • Advanced Degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred.

Languages:

  • English.
