Analytics Engineer 1-2 (Junior/Associate-Level)

UNCOMN is seeking an Analytics Engineer 1-2 (Junior/Associate) to:
  • Report and analyze system-specific (JOPES) metrics related to validation, transportation feasibility, and allocation.
  • Conduct recurring and ad hoc data analyses to support government and internal requests.
  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools, data models, and reports.
  • Write and optimize complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Develop and test analytical or statistical models using Python, R, and/or SQL.
  • Research and provide actionable insights with minimal guidance.
  • Identify and implement process or tool improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams on project plans, deliverables, and updates.
  • Communicate findings and risks clearly to managers and stakeholders.
  • Apply critical and systems-thinking to resolve analytical and technical issues.
  • Support software evaluation, documentation, and system troubleshooting.
This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives. Position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 1+ year of related professional experience OR
    • Associate’s degree accompanied by 3+ years of professional experience and an active CompTIA Security+ or SSCP certification
  • Must hold an active DoD secret clearance or higher.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, data visualization tools, and database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable working on-site, supporting occasional on-call or after-hours needs (with the ability to report within 2 hours if required), and willing to obtain any certifications needed to meet future client or contract requirements.
