Root was founded on the belief that car insurance is broken, and we set out to change it. We’re harnessing the power of technology to revolutionize this archaic, complicated industry. Using machine learning and mobile telematic platforms, we’ve built one of the most innovative insurtech companies in the world.
The Opportunity
At Root, we’re on a mission to improve the lives of our customers by offering better insurance solutions. We challenge ourselves to think differently in order to reimagine insurance to make it smarter, more equitable, and a better experience for all.
We strive to “unbreak” the archaic insurance industry by using data and technology in innovative new ways. We believe we must be steadfast in our commitment to research, experimentation, and disciplined data-driven decision making in order to build products our customers love. Analytics sits at the center of our vision.
Our Marketing Analytics team is responsible for understanding and assessing impact of Root’s Marketing initiatives from the top of the funnel to lower funnel results, brand awareness tracking and investigation, and working with Marketing and Data Science partners on innovative efforts to leverage ML and LLMs to extend Root’s presence and reach while increasing efficacy and efficiency of Root’s marketing.
As an Analytics Manager II, you’ll lead a team of four analysts as they conduct exploratory research, run tests, study the impacts of new business strategies, analyze the overall performance of marketing, and introduce new metrics and reporting to shape how we measure our business. You’ll work closely with leaders in Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering to achieve operational excellence and ensure strong deliverables with actionable insights. This role will report to the Director of Growth Analytics.
Salary Range: $155,000 - $165,000 (Bonus & LTI Eligible)
Root is a “work where it works best” company. This means we will support you working in whatever location that works best for you across the US.
How You Will Make an Impact
What You Will Need to Succeed
As part of Root's interview process, we kindly ask that all candidates be on camera for virtual interviews. This helps us create a more personal and engaging experience for both you and our interviewers. Being on camera is a standard requirement for our process and part of how we assess fit and communication style, so we do require it to move forward with any applicant's candidacy. If you have any concerns, feel free to let us know once you are contacted. We’re happy to talk it through.
