SAP BOBJ System Administrator
Roles & Responsibilities
Hands on experience in installation, configuration, and upgrades of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x environments.
Administer and support WEBI, Universe Design/IDT, CMC, CMS, CCM, and LCM tools.
Monitor server health, availability, and performance; perform basic performance tuning when required.
Troubleshoot issues related to server connectivity, data access, and application stability.
Coordinate with senior administrators to apply patches, service packs, and version upgrades.
Manage user accounts, access rights, and security settings through the Central Management Console (CMC).
Document configuration changes, troubleshooting procedures, and system workflows for future reference.
Provide end-user support for SAP BO tools, assist in resolving report execution and scheduling issues.
Collaborate with database and infrastructure teams to resolve performance, connectivity, and resource issues.
Follow best practices and security guidelines during all configuration, upgrade, and maintenance activities.
Primary Skills
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x (Installation, Configuration, Administration).
Proficiency in using CMC, CCM, CMS, LCM, Universe Design/IDT, and Web Intelligence (WEBI).
Good understanding of server architecture (Tomcat, SIA, Adaptive Processing Server, Job Server).
Knowledge of user and security management within BO environment.
Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting BO server components.
CLoud exposure ( AWS/Azure)
Secondary Skills
Database Knowledge: Basic SQL skills to validate data sources and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
OS & Networking Fundamentals: Experience with Windows/Linux server environments, basic network troubleshooting (ports, DNS, connectivity).
Scripting: Ability to write basic shell or batch scripts for automation (service restarts, monitoring).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
Proven leadership and team management experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, Interest in upskilling and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Your Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
3 - 12 years of experience in environments with relevant exposure to Analytics & visualization tools and automation.
Additional Skills/requirements:
Familiarity with certificate management and renewal workflows
Hands-on experience with CMDB systems and configuration tracking
Basic understanding of vulnerability management and security compliance
Practical exposure to ITIL-based incident, change, and SR handling
Experience supporting enterprise architecture and license governance
Ability to write automation scripts and use system monitoring tools
Proficient in using ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms
Capable of maintaining documentation aligned with CSQA/security standards
