Analyzer Lead Utilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Analyzer Lead (Utilities) to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and optimal performance of process analyzers across utilities operations. This is a leadership role for a senior technician/engineer with strong hands-on expertise in gas, liquid, and emissions analyzers, plus the ability to lead teams, drive compliance, and improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and optimal performance of analyzers and related systems in Utilities
• Lead calibration, testing, and maintenance of process analyzers to meet operational and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in gas, liquid, and emissions analyzers to minimize downtime
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibration results, and analyzer performance
• Lead and coordinate a team of technicians; assign tasks and monitor performance
• Analyze performance data and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and reliability
• Train and mentor technicians; promote best practices and continuous improvement
• Manage work orders and reporting via CMMS (e.g., SAP PM)

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

• 7–10+ years of analyzer maintenance experience in utilities within industrial or power generation environments
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Certifications (Preferred):

• Process/Gas Analyzer certifications (e.g., ISA CAP)
• Safety certifications (OSHA / NEBOSH)

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced knowledge of analyzer systems (operation, maintenance, calibration)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (gas, liquid, emissions analyzers)
• Proficient with calibration tools and software
• Understanding of process controls and analyzer integration
• Knowledge of safety, environmental compliance, and industry standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management
• Familiarity with CMMS (SAP PM preferred)
