Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Android Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performance, reliable, and user-friendly Android applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to bring intuitive and innovative mobile experiences to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful and third-party integrations).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development tools, trends, and best practices.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1.5 - 2 years of hands-on experience in Android app development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Firebase).
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Should have knowledge about AWS.
  • Solid understanding of Git version control and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Espresso).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for mobile development.
  • Published one or more apps in the Google Play Store.
