Android Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Android application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. The Android Engineer will collaborate with our product, design, and engineering teams to develop and implement new features and functionality that will improve user experience and increase customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience developing Android applications, a deep understanding of android development best practices, and a passion for creating intuitive and innovative solutions.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Develop and maintain our Android application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• Collaborate with our product, design, and engineering teams to develop and implement new features and functionality
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues, and implement solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to mobile development best practices
• Ensure the application meets the highest standards of security, usability, and accessibility
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends, techniques, and technologies
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery
• Participate in the design and architecture of the application to ensure scalability and maintainability

What are we looking for, and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience developing Android applications
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages
• Experience with Git
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Familiarity with Material Design and Android UI/UX best practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and development practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Firebase, AWS, or other cloud services
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger, and Retrofit
Familiarity with data visualization libraries like MPAndroidChart or GraphView
