Key Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain system-level components for embedded platforms.
  • Work on Android HAL integration and AOSP-based system customization.
  • Contribute to Linux-based embedded development including system calls, kernel-level debugging, and device driver interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to port and stabilize Android features across hardware platforms.
  • Deliver work product using Rust for embedded and system-level development.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance profiling of embedded modules.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Android HAL, AOSP, and embedded Android systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system programming, including kernel internals and device drivers.
  • Solid foundation in C/C++ and system-level debugging.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adopt Rust for embedded development.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with C/C++ interoperability and FFI concepts.
  • Exposure to concurrency models, synchronization primitives, and async runtimes.
  • Experience with debugging tools such as gdb, strace, perf, and analyzing system logs.
  • Knowledge of modular design, Rust crates, and build systems like Cargo, Make, and CMake.
  • Prior experience with Rust, even if limited to personal or academic projects.
  • Understanding of smart pointers, ownership, and borrowing in Rust.
  • Exposure to testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial embedded domains.
