Anesthesia Technician

Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment before, during, and after procedures
• Assist anesthesiologists with the administration of anesthesia
• Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
• Ensure that all anesthesia-related equipment is functioning properly
• Sterilize and clean anesthesia instruments and equipment
• Assist with the transportation and positioning of patients
• Maintain accurate records of anesthesia procedures and equipment inventory
• Provide support during emergency situations involving anesthesia
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia machines

Anesthesia Technician Qualifications & Skills

• Certification as an Anesthesia Technician
• QCHP License
• Previous experience working in a surgical or medical setting
• Proficiency with anesthesia-related equipment and monitoring devices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
• Knowledge of anesthetic drugs and their effects
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow precise instructions
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient positioning
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month
