Anesthesia Technician (Part-Time)

Coordinates and manages activities related to the anesthesia department. Sets up operating rooms in preparation for anesthesia in surgical and obstetric suites. Removes equipment and replaces used equipment between cases. Responsible for ordering supplies as needed and to re-stock anesthesia carts and cabinets routinely.

• Participation in continuing education programs related to anesthesia and mandatory BMHOC in-service programs

Job Relationships

• The anesthesia tech is administratively responsible to the Director of Anesthesia/Chief CRNA
• Must work closely with CRNA's, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff

Job Duties

• Practice in accordance with the policies and procedures of Baptist Memorial Hospital
• Responsible of ordering all supplies for anesthesia department and communicating with purchasing department with special orders
• Responsible for re-stocking anesthesia carts and cabinets
• Responsible for setting up anesthesia equipment in all ORs on a daily basis and between each case
