Overview

The Animation Specialist will play a critical role in creating high-impact motion-led content while also contributing as a hands-on designer. This role goes beyond pure animation, requiring a strong foundation in design, layout, and visual craft. The Animation Specialist will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and animating content across digital-first platforms, ensuring that both static and motion outputs are visually compelling, on-brand, and platform-optimised. Working closely with the creative and design teams, this role bridges design and motion to deliver cohesive, story-driven content.

Responsibilities

The Animation Specialist will design and produce 2D/3D animations, motion graphics, and video content for digital campaigns and social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. The role involves independently creating design assets such as layouts, frames, visual systems, and key visuals and translating them into engaging motion. Responsibilities include video editing, animated reels, and platform-specific content creation using tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D. The Animation Specialist will collaborate with designers, copywriters, and creative leads from concept to execution, manage multiple projects with tight timelines, and actively ideate new animation and visual formats in line with evolving design and social media trends.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate has 3– 5 years of experience in animation, motion graphics, and visual design within a creative or digital agency environment. They possess a strong understanding of design fundamentals including typography, composition, colour, and layout, and are capable of creating design assets from scratch not just animating supplied files. Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) is essential, along with working knowledge of Cinema 4D and other relevant design and motion tools. The candidate should have strong storytelling and visual sensibility, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
