Job Description

ANM nurses are trained to provide care for mothers and newborns. They assist during childbirth, monitor the health of the mother and baby, and offer guidance on breastfeeding and newborn care. One of the most important roles of an ANM nurse is to ensure that children and adults receive necessary vaccinations. This helps in preventing diseases and promoting overall health within the community. ANM nurses educate individuals and communities about health issues like hygiene, nutrition, family planning, and disease prevention. They play a key role in spreading awareness and improving public health.

Qualifications

  • After completing the training, candidates require a certificate in Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM).
  • The training typically lasts 1 to 2 years and includes both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. During this training, students learn about nursing procedures, maternal care, child health, medical ethics, and more.
