The ANM will provide basic nursing care, maternal and child health services, assist doctors and staff nurses, and ensure proper patient care as per hospital/healthcare center standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities.
- Support maternal and child health services, including antenatal, postnatal, and newborn care.
- Assist doctors and senior nurses during procedures, treatments, and minor surgeries.
- Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and proper hygiene in the assigned ward/unit.
- Educate patients and families on health, nutrition, hygiene, and immunization.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records, treatment charts, and reports.
- Assist in community health programs, vaccination drives, and outreach services if required.
- Handle medical equipment carefully and report any faults immediately.
- Follow hospital protocols, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality norms.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ANM diploma/course (recognized by Nursing Council).
- Registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Basic knowledge of nursing procedures and first aid.
- Good communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Compassionate, disciplined, and responsible.
Work Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (day/night as per duty roster).
- May involve community visits and field duties depending on organizational requirements.
