Anodizing & Electroplating Technician

Job Overview

As an Anodizing & Electroplating Technician, you will work in a manufacturing or industrial surface-finishing environment. Your primary role is to perform anodizing and electroplating processes on metal components — especially aluminum — to improve corrosion resistance, surface durability, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out anodizing and electroplating processes according to established procedures.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, degreasing, etching, and rinsing before finishing.
  • Monitor and control bath chemistry, voltage, current, temperature, and timing during operations.
  • Inspect finished components for coating thickness, uniform color, adhesion quality, and surface defects.
  • Maintain process documentation and quality records for each batch.
  • Follow all safety and environmental standards, including proper chemical handling and disposal.
  • Support routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting of tanks, rectifiers, and plating lines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in anodizing, electroplating, or surface-finishing operations.
  • Familiarity with chemical baths, rectifier controls, and surface finishing machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and process specifications.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in related industrial processes is a plus.
  • Male applicants may be specified by employer requirements.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of anodizing and electroplating chemistry and machinery.
  • Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and follow PPE protocols.
  • Good communication in English (and/or Arabic) with the ability to understand instructions.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work as part of a production team.
