AP Calculus AND Higher Level Math Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and experienced AP Calculus and Higher Level Math Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, and a proven track record of helping students excel in their AP exams. The instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, providing personalized feedback, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Teach AP Calculus and other higher level math subjects, strategies, and exam-taking skills to high school students.
• Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students.
• Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through practice exams, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.
• Support: Offer personalized support and guidance to help students achieve their target scores.
• Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to excel in their AP preparation and academic endeavors.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective test preparation program.
• Adaptability: Stay updated on changes to the AP exams and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Experience: Experience teaching AP Calculus and other higher level math subjects. Experience with other standardized tests (SAT, ACT, etc.) is a plus.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of AP Calculus and higher level math content, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Certifications: Teaching certification or credential is preferred but not required.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to teach Monday to Friday after school until 9 PM, and weekends as needed.
