About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AP (Advanced Placement) teacher to join our team on a freelance basis. You will deliver online lessons to motivated students preparing for AP exams, both in one-on-one and small group settings. This is a fully remote, part-time position with flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging online AP lessons in your subject area
- Conduct both 1:1 tutoring and group classes
- Prepare students for AP exams using current College Board frameworks
- Design and assess open-ended (free-response) questions in line with AP standards
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles in a virtual environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree from a top 500 globally ranked university
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in any AP subject (e.g., AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Literature, AP US History, AP Economics, AP Computer Science, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with online teaching and virtual classroom tools
- Strong command of open-ended / free-response question design, scoring rubrics, and student coaching
- Excellent English communication skills
- Reliable internet connection, quiet workspace, webcam, and headset
- Comfortable working with both individual students and small groups
Nice to Have
- AP Reader experience or College Board certification
- Experience teaching internationally
- Familiarity with score-improvement strategies for 4–5 outcomes
