Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Apartment Leasing Agent to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing detailed information about available units, amenities, and community features
- Conduct property tours, highlighting key selling points and answering all questions confidently
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry
- Verify applicant information, including income documentation
- Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents in accordance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property readiness and address any facilities management issues promptly
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and retention
- Maintain organized filing systems, update customer relationship management (CRM) records, and ensure accurate data entry for all leasing activities
- Handle conflict management professionally, resolving resident concerns with tact and adherence to company policies
- Assist with legal administrative tasks related to lease enforcement, contract renewals, and compliance documentation
Experience
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a focus on apartment communities
- Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and Fair Housing regulations
- Proficiency in property management software
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, contracts, and legal administrative procedures
- Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, and upselling techniques within a real estate or customer service environment
- Excellent office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution skills
- Background in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building lasting resident relationships

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
