Position Details:

• Preserve and maintain the physical integrity of the apartment community and facilities
• Full-time position North of the River in Kansas City, Missouri

Qualifications:

• Skilled in apartment maintenance including:
• Grounds and pool upkeep
• Appliance repair
• General carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs in both occupied and vacant units including but not limited to:

• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address proactively
• Resolve/complete work orders in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service
• Troubleshooting and performing routine electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• General building maintenance including appliance repair, carpentry, painting and landscaping
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area
• Assist with unit make readies
• Assist with maintaining grounds, including pools and snow removal
• Other related tasks as needed at surrounding properties also owned/managed by Peterson Properties Inc.

Requirements:

• Must have multiple years of verifiable experience in a similar maintenance position for multi-family housing. Compensation based on experience.
• EPA Certification is preferred.
• Must have your own basic tools including a smartphone or IPAD
• Physical demands include constant walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work
• Successfully complete background and drug screening
• Ability to work an “On Call” rotation – Additional BONUS Pay applies
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
