API Design Engineer (API 6A, 16A, 16C, 7-1)

The Role

• Verify design input requirements. • Prepare product designs in compliance with API 6A, 16A, 16C, 7-1, and other relevant standards. • Participate in design reviews, verification, and validation activities. • Maintain design packages and drawings. • Prepare design calculations, sketches, drafts, final drawings, and material selections. • Collaborate with Tool Design to ensure manufacturability, quality, functionality, and cost efficiency of product designs. • Work on product improvements and optimizations. • Analyze test data and reports to assess whether designs meet functional and performance specifications. • Manage new and existing projects through to completion. • Evaluate project requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints. • Perform analysis and calculations to appropriately size components in engineered product designs. • Develop design plans using specialized design software. • Mandatory experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for drafting and design work.

Requirements

• Person Specification – Job Knowledge / Education • Degree / Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification • Min of 4 Yrs Technical experience in API 5CT/6A/7-1/16A/16C/16D • Products • Strong interpersonal, communications skills and ability to develop • relationship with others • Strong knowledge of drafting tools viz.. Auto Cad, Solid Works etc.. • Enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approach to work Added Advantage: • Machine shop back ground • From similar business lines
