Job Overview

We are seeking 2 experienced API/Backend Engineers to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microservices and API endpoints using NodeJs and typescript. You will work in an Agile environment with continuous integration and managing API Gateway configurations to ensure seamless integrations with web applications and external consumers/producers.

Key Responsibilities

API Development:

Design, develop, document and maintain high-quality API endpoints using NodeJs/typescript

Implement controls to ensure API security, availability and scalability

• CI/CD and Agile Practices:

Work with DevOps to implement and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment

• API Gateway Management:

Configure and manage API Gateways (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Zuplo or similar) for routing and authentication.

• Collaboration & Integration:

Work closely with product managers, front-end developers, and QA teams to deliver seamless, data-driven applications.

Integrate services with various systems and third-party services.

• Quality Assurance:

Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability and performance.

Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize endpoints for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in API development or a related role.

Proven experience writing Microservices and API endpoints using Typescript and Nodejs.

Should have experience in TypeScript and Node.js, preferably working in a FinTech environment. Expertise in ledger development will be considered a plus point.

Bachelor or Master degree in CS/SE or in a relevant field.

Familiarity with zero trust and web authentication methods.

• Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and Microservices architecture.

Minimum 3 years of Backend development in Typescript.

Solid experience of GraphQL is a must.

Proficiency in configuring and managing API Gateways.

Familiarity with Jira, Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Methodologies:

Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Other Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on own initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms AWS.

Knowledge of REST/GraphQL and related frameworks.

Exposure to automated testing frameworks and traffic monitoring tools.

Interpersonal and Communication skills

Written and spoken English skills is one of the mandatory required qualifications.

Pay: From Rs300,000.00 per month
