The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an appearance attorney to cover a wide range of bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction related appearances mainly in the 5 boroughs. We're looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, who will bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm. Willing to train the right individual.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a variety of default service court proceedings, including bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction-related matters across all five boroughs.
• Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Manage a high volume of legal matters, including settlement negotiations and litigated cases, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of each assignment.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar; admission in New Jersey or Pennsylvania is a plus.
• Eligibility for or willingness to waive into the corresponding federal district courts.
• Strong courtroom presence with excellent public speaking and advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve legal issues efficiently.
• Confident, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Location

This position is located in NYC but the firm offers a flexible hybrid schedule.
