Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Application & Formulation Specialist – Pharma R&D Equipment based in Istanbul.
We are seeking a highly skilled
Application & Formulation Specialist
to bridge the gap between
pharmaceutical R&D formulation expertise
and
commercial success
. This role combines hands-on formulation and analytical knowledge with the ability to deliver compelling
technical presentations, demonstrations, and training
to prospective and existing customers.
The specialist will work closely with
R&D, technical, and sales teams
to identify customer needs, design and present application-based solutions, and support the sales process from initial engagement through to deal closure.
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical R&D, formulation, or laboratory applications.

Prior experience in equipment demonstrations, technical presentations, or application support preferred.

Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical processing and analytical equipment.

Strong knowledge of formulation techniques and analytical methods

Skills in data analysis, documentation, and reporting

Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build strong customer relationships and adapt technical language to diverse audiences.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Proficiency in English is a must

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field required; Advanced degree preferred
Key Responsibilities
Formulation Development & Support
-
Provide technical expertise in pharmaceutical formulation (solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms) for customer projects and demonstrations.

Assist in pre-formulation and scale-up studies using state-of-the-art equipment.

Conduct trials and application tests to demonstrate equipment performance and product benefits.
Customer Engagement & Presentations

Deliver
technical presentations, live demonstrations, and workshops
to potential clients, both in person and virtually.

Translate technical features into customer-centric benefits, tailored to R&D, QA, and production audiences.

Attend trade shows, conferences, and client site visits to showcase solutions.
Pre-Sales & Sales Support

Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals and solution packages.

Provide application data, proof-of-concept results, and ROI justification to support sales opportunities.

Assist in equipment selection and configuration based on client requirements.
Post-Sales Support
-
Provide training and onboarding for customers on newly acquired equipment.

Support troubleshooting, optimization, and method transfer as needed.
Market & Product Knowledge

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D processes, analytical instrumentation, and competitor offerings.

Feed market insights and customer feedback into product development and sales strategy.
