We have an urgent requirement for Application Support - Oracle Fusion experience is required for one of our client in Abu Dhabi.

Overview

This role is needed to assist in the day-to-day support of our applications landscape. This landscape includes small applications like time & attendance, website, etc. and also basic support of ERP like Oracle Fusion and FarmERP.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the day-to-day provision of support for the design, implementation and maintenance of new and existing applications, computer software and systems to maintain effective IT operations. This role includes working collaboratively with IT service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with applications and systems and ensure continuity of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research to support in the identification of new applications and systems to improve business operations by collecting requirement specifications from departments and scoping the ecosystem
• Support in the creation of a system development methodology for IT systems and applications, including descriptions of work to be performed at each stage of development and documents to be drafted to ensure that all systems and applications are developed in a standardized manner that meets expectations
• Provide guidance and support for application to ensure that the business application systems supported by the IT are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency
• Provide in house support or arrange for contracted end user and back end support for systems and applications with third party service providers
• Conduct performance and load tests to understand how applications will respond under specific operating scenarios such as normal-load, stress, high-data volumes, etc.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews and regression testing, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
• Maintain and regularly update a register of all software and application licenses and associated agreements
• Collaborate with departments to define and agree on the scope and level of detail to manage configuration of applications with IT service providers during the design phase
• Work with departments to define user access control requirements and user registrations for each application and system in accordance with the DoA and communicate the same with IT application providers
• Document testing of new functionalities and platform upgrades for software and applications, ensuring that the latest version of software and applications is backed up immediately after implementation and immediately after any changes
• Receive and process service requests (e.g., access to business applications, changes to system configurations, issuance of IT assets, etc.) in line with the relevant policies and procedures approved as part of the DoA
• Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs on IT applications based on schedules for routine maintenance or application support queries reported by the end-user
• Provide adequate support to departments and teams for application and system related issues, working closely with them to troubleshoot software problems, identify root causes and elevate any complex issues to the respective application provider
• Develop, implement, and maintain an accurate application and systems support log through which tickets are tracked from initial creation to fulfillment and resolution in a timely manner
• Seek and record verbal and written feedback from teams or individuals supported for the purpose of process improvement and periodically review the support log to identify and act on opportunities for improvement
• Perform other duties as required by upper management
