We are looking for a detail-oriented Application Support Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve business applications. The ideal candidate will ensure system availability, resolve user issues, and support application performance to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for business applications and systems.
- Monitor application performance and ensure high availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Handle user requests, incidents, and service tickets.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve bugs and implement fixes.
- Perform root cause analysis and document solutions.
- Support application deployments, updates, and patches.
- Maintain system documentation and user guides.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-call support when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in application support or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software applications and IT systems.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL).
- Familiarity with APIs and integrations.
- Good understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python).
- Experience in financial, healthcare, or government sectors is a plus.
