Job Description

General Purpose of Job:

The Senior Application Systems Analyst oversees application architecture, aligns system solutions with organizational strategy, and ensures compliance with data governance standards. This role emphasizes strategic planning, resource optimization, and high-level problem-solving.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Team members may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Design and oversee application architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring application issues, implementing long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior IT leadership on resource planning, scalability, and system improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with data standards, security, and regulatory requirements in applications.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Lead Enterprise Architecture/Tech Review processes relating to application infrastructure.

Work Experience
• Required: Must be highly proficient in application analysis or support, with project leadership experience. • Preferred: Ideal candidate will have experience in application systems analysis, with experience in strategic planning.

Education
• Required: High school diploma and a minimum of 9 years of Application Analysis experience OR Associates degree computer science, IT or related field and a minimum of 7 years of Application Analysis experience OR Bachelors degree in computer science, IT or related field and a minimum of 5 year of Application Analysis experience • Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science, IT healthcare or related fields.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
• Expert knowledge in application architecture, data standards, and advanced troubleshooting. • Strategic planning and project management skills. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards in IT applications.
