BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
This position of Applications Architect Manager, SAP will be a key member of our SAP S/4 Center of Excellence and focus on all aspects of application integration for Kubota in North America. This role will primarily be responsible for integrating the core S/4HANA application with other Non-SAP systems across all the KNA affiliates and their business partner systems including dealers, suppliers and service providers.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- The Applications Architect Manager will be responsible for leading the integration development team.
- The Applications Architect Manager will work to define the requirements, principles and models that guide application integration technology decisions in alignment with strategic IT and Business goals.
- This role will be responsible for defining and publishing the integration architecture standards, frameworks and guidelines. Establishes and drives the governance process for reviewing specific integration solutions to assure they are properly leveraging published frameworks and standards. Works closely with Business capability leads, Solution Architects, Engineering teams and Development groups to advocate the value identified in Integration Strategy, architecture, standards frameworks and guidelines.
- Ensures that new projects and migrations are in alignment with the Integration Architecture standards and drives interface design for a secure, efficient, adaptable future proof integration solution.
- Researches and recommends opportunities to adopt new technologies. Analyzes the impact of implementing new technologies into the Application integration infrastructure. Proactively researches Application Integration architecture best practices and methodologies and determines relevancy to the KNA business organizations. Participates in the life cycle planning of existing IT assets.
- Assists Solution Architects, and Project Managers in matching technology services to specific business service and application development projects to ensure consistent use throughout the enterprise. Identifies and leverages opportunities across IT departments to ensure a consistent and efficient integration framework.
- Develops and participates in the governance of Enterprise Architecture principles and framework to assure compliance to the EA strategy and that any exceptions to the standard are well justified and documented through a formal waiver process. Analyzes the impact of exceptions and its effect on the TCO and strategic objectives or differentiations for KNA.
- Prioritize requirements for inclusion in the software development phase using plan-driven (traditional) and change-driven (iterative and agile) techniques.
- Participates in multiple design activities with authority to make independent choices free from supervision.
- Ability to design and build simple to complex integration flows, develop field level data mappings across source and target application functions, implement components like sender, receiver, communication channels, adapter configurations, events, routing, message transformation etc., design different mapping artifacts like Message Mapping, Value Mapping, XSLT mapping, implement exception scenarios, and configure interface monitoring for a proactive issue resolution.
- Requires strong communication skills to work internally with end user departments, management and peers. Develops and provides written and verbal presentations to end users, peers, and support personnel
- Other duties assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering or a related discipline required.
- At least 10 years’ experience in IT applications development with architecting, designing and implementing Application Integration Solutions required.
- Understand capabilities of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) along with non-SAP integration tools like, Dell Boomi, IBM Sterling and CIG, and must have a proven experience in at least one of these middleware tools for minimum 5 years.
- Understanding of various Enterprise Integration Design Patterns, Standard Integration Content for SAP on-premise S/4HANA and cloud applications like Ariba, Concur and Dayforce etc.
- Hands on experience with SAP APIM, APIM Policies, SAP Cloud Connector. Resource needs to be an expert in utilizing tools like WinSCP, FileZilla, Postman, SOAPUI
- Hands on experience in designing and implementing small to large scale integration solutions adopting various interface technologies such as Web Services, SOAP, APIs, SAP IDOCS, ODATA, XML and J2EE/Java etc.
- Understanding of different authentication and authorization mechanisms used for HTTPS and SFTP communication like OAuth tokens, Certificate based authentication and Role based, Distinguished Name based authorization check)
- Strong understanding of integration platform sizing considering large batch sizes, incoming message size limits, message throughput for storage requirements, etc.
