The Arizona Game and Fish Department manages fish and wildlife in Arizona and under the authority of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission, creates and implements scientific methods and regulations to effectively manage fish and wildlife habitat via conservation, enforcement, hunting, fishing, watercraft and off-highway vehicle recreation, and shooting sports. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
The candidate will have knowledge of multiple programming languages; database management systems, specifically MSSQL, and development platforms; designing and developing mobile applications; .NET web based systems; AWS products and services; code reviews and writing code. The candidate will be skilled in customer service; interpersonal, virtual, written and oral communication; skills; critical thinking; organization; meeting deadlines; creating project documentation; producing reusable/standardized code; and good attention to details. The candidate will have the ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks; work collaboratively in teams and across organizations; synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly; quickly learn and develop in new programming languages, APIs, and platforms; creative solutions to business problems; effectively evaluate and anticipate development risk or negative impacts.
Selective Preference(s):
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems plus 5 or more years of programming and analysis (or equivalent experience). Experience with Xamarin is preferred.

The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
