Johnstech’s Standard Product Engineering team has the responsibility of ensuring our product meets or exceeds our customers’ specific application and performance expectations. Activities within the SPE team include the following:
- Product quote configuration to meet customer specific application requirements
- Product design
- Internal manufacturing support
- RMA ownership
- Customer/Sales/FSE support (verbal, written, telecon, in person)
- Core technology improvement
Responsibilities
Assist the Application Engineers in the following areas:
- Perform Contactor and actuator design in Solidworks using approved JTI technologies and standards
- Accurately prepare drawings, BOM’s, ECO’s and supporting documentation related to new design releases by following approved JTI processes and procedures
- Communicate with internal and external sales staff and Applications Engineers to guarantee new designs meet application and customer requirements
- Provide technical direction to internal manufacturing and quality personnel to ensure product is built and tested properly to meet customer requirements
- Conduct investigation and disposition of customer RMA’s including remedial actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and thorough report generation including gathering of all support data in the lab
- Collaborate with other engineering groups to provide feedback and ideas for ongoing product improvements
- Occasional travel to customer sites, domestic and international
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; BSME highly preferred
- Experience and/or education with mechanical 3D modeling CAD software
- MS Office Suite
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Curious / Investigative
- Committed to giving and receiving feedback
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Able to travel up to 10% both domestic and international
Pay range for this position is $67K-$75K annually. This salary information serves as a general guideline.
