MostEdge is seeking an experienced and hands-on Applications Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA function across mission-critical enterprise and customer-facing applications. Acting as a player-coach, this leader will set the quality vision while actively contributing to automation, regression, and stress testing. The QA Manager will be key to ensuring that our platforms—built on Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices architectures—deliver unmatched stability, scalability, and performance in AWS, GCP, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coaching

• Serve as a player-coach, managing a global QA team while remaining hands-on in test automation, stress testing, and regression testing.
• Mentor QA engineers in automation frameworks, best practices, and emerging QA tools.
• Partner with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality into every phase of the SDLC.

Testing & Quality Execution

• Define and own the QA strategy for applications built in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Lead automated testing frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile.
• Drive stress, load, and performance testing to validate resilience at scale (millions of transactions per hour).
• Oversee data integrity validation across MongoDB, MySQL, and Postgres systems.
• Manage end-to-end defect lifecycle with root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Automation & Tools

• Build and optimize test automation pipelines integrated into CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Champion use of tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, LoadRunner, TestRail, and equivalents.
• Expand automation coverage across APIs, UIs, and data layers for efficiency and accuracy.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish measurable QA metrics (automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness).
• Promote shift-left testing, embedding quality practices early in design and coding stages.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and audit standards for cloud-native and on-premise applications.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10 years of progressive QA experience, with 3–5 years in leadership, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or high-transaction environments.

Technical Expertise

• Proven track record in automated testing, regression testing, stress/load testing, and performance validation.
• Deep hands-on experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and messaging architectures in production.
• Strong knowledge of AWS/GCP services (scalability, resilience testing).
• Solid database QA experience with MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres.

• Strong ability to coordinate across developers, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Performance Scorecard (KPIs)

The success of the Applications QA Manager will be measured against the following KPIs:

• Automation Coverage – Increase automated test coverage across applications to ≥80% within 12 months.
• Regression Cycle Time – Achieve complete regression test execution in ≤24 hours for each release cycle.
• Defect Leakage Rate – Maintain <3% critical defect leakage into production environments.
• Release Readiness – Ensure 100% of releases meet defined quality gates before deployment.
• Performance & Stress Benchmarks – Validate system stability at 120% of peak load, with zero critical failures.
• CI/CD Integration – Achieve 100% automation integration into CI/CD pipelines for core applications.
• Team Development – Demonstrate measurable improvement in QA team technical skills (automation, performance testing, tools adoption) through quarterly reviews and training sessions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Maintain a QA sign-off satisfaction rating of ≥90% from Product and Engineering leads.
