Role Purpose

You will be the technical backbone of Techniline’s professional audio solutions business — responsible for turning products into reliable, well-documented, well-tuned systems that consultants, integrators, and end users trust.

Your success will be measured by:

• Quality and clarity of system designs
• Smooth commissioning and minimal post-install issues
• Confidence of integrators and internal sales teams
• Repeat usage of Techniline in consultant specifications

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Engineering

• Design professional audio systems for: Auditoriums, multipurpose halls, houses of worship, nightlife venues, corporate and hospitality spaces
• Translate architectural drawings into clear, buildable audio designs
• Create: Signal flow diagrams, Equipment layouts, DSP architecture and channel planning
• Use acoustic modelling tools (e.g. EASE) where required — only when it adds value, not as a checkbox

2. DSP Programming & System Tuning

• Commission and tune installed sound systems using measurement tools (e.g. SMAART)
• Program DSPs and digital mixers for: Installed systems, Hybrid live + installed environments
• Ensure systems are: Intelligible, Stable, Easy for end users to operate

3. Project Management, Installation Oversight & Commissioning

• Support integrators during installation to ensure designs are executed correctly
• Lead final commissioning and handover
• Produce clear as-built documentation and final DSP files
• Identify and resolve issues before they become client escalations

4. Technical Enablement & Support

• Act as a technical escalation point for: Customers, and Internal sales teams
• Deliver targeted training sessions on; Product applications, System operation, Best practices
• Support PA / Voice Alarm / Distributed Audio systems where applicable (experience here is a plus, not a must)

Experience

• 5+ years in professional audio system design and commissioning
• Strong exposure to installed sound environments
• Comfortable reading and working from AutoCAD drawings
• Hands-on experience with: DSP configuration, Digital mixers, Measurement-based tuning
• Practical understanding of: Loudspeaker deployment, Gain structure, Intelligibility vs SPL trade-offs
• Understanding of acoustics
• Experience with acoustic simulation software

Good to Have

Rigging knowledge or certifications, CTS or equivalent, PA / Voice Alarm system exposure

• Compensation & Work Conditions

Full-time, Dubai-based

Working hours: Monday–Saturday Half Day, with site visits as required

Salary: Market-aligned for senior applications engineers in the UAE
