Overview
Working as part of the Ambulatory Informatics Support team, this role:

Establishes professional relationships with leaders of departments by rounding & attending meetings. Has a consistent presence in Ambulatory departments to identify end user challenges in Epic, while communicating best practices. Serves as the primary liaison between operations & IS teams.

Helps to improve the efficiency of clinicians in their use of the Epic EHR and associated systems. Assists with development of new workflows & provide at-elbow support during Epic upgrades and implementations.

Supports system Informatics projects and initiatives. Assists with the maintenance of clinical tools in Epic, such as personalization of ordering preference lists and other SmartTools that streamline and support clinical efficiencies. Research and assist with submitted issue & request tickets

Assists with New Staff On-Boarding and department specific training by Manager request. Works with staff who may benefit from further training and workflow optimization in Epic. Provides specialty-specific eDH training not covered in New Hire Epic Training.
Responsibilities- Functions as liaison with other IS teams and business partners and maintains project tracking information.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the technical aspects of applications, as well as the operational details, work flows and how applications are used in the department.
- Provides analysis functions in support of new or upgraded vendor, in-house computing systems and special projects. Participates in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Participates in the development, testing and follow-up evaluation of system design and projects.
- Assists departments in applications system management functions. Develops a system to ensure the effective maintenance of security for all applications supported.
- Provides training and assistance to team members.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of relevant work experience or the equivalent is preferred.
- Organizational, analytical, and self-motivational skills are essential.
- Exercises strong verbal, written, and listening skills to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and internal customers.
- Demonstrates work qualities of attention to detail, motivation, and dependability.
- Ability to make decisions independently, but works within a team environment to provide support to the department.
- Handles fluctuating workloads while working within deadlines.
- Project management and application testing skills are desirable.
- For applicable positions: Has vendor application certification/proficiency or earns it within 12 months of hire (i.e. Epic application certification). Maintains certification/proficiency in accordance with vendor requirements.

Pay Range: $70,470.40/Yr. - $109,241.60/Yr. (Based on 40 hours per week, otherwise pro rata)
