SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Tops Markets is accepting applications for current and future full-time and part-time openings. The Pharmacist is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions. Tops Pharmacists are also responsible for ordering, receiving, and stocking shelves in the Pharmacy as well as providing attentive and courteous customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation
• Process customer orders while providing attentive and courteous customer service
• Required to perform the final check on all medications before dispensing to the customer
• Receive telephone prescriptions and authorizations from prescriber’s offices
• Consult with patients about prescribed medications and other health issues and recommend over-the-counter medications
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions
• Train and develop pharmacy interns and technicians
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Pharmacy Department
• Maintain security of all controlled substances
• Maintain adequate supplies, place orders when needed
• Process orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting payment
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• State Licensed Pharmacist

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Required education to be a State Licensed Pharmacist
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills
