Apprentice Carpenter / Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry and construction industry. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, assisting in various tasks related to carpentry, construction, and restoration projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn essential skills while contributing to a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled carpenters in performing tasks related to frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and woodworking.
• Help with the installation of fixtures, cabinets, doors, and siding.
• Participate in concrete forming and rebar installation for various construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Support restoration efforts including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and plastering.
• Engage in construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and roofing tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during various stages of construction or restoration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction or the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with carpentry techniques including cabinet installation, door hanging, caulking, and metal stud framing is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimating and fabrication processes.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in carpentry and related fields.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work hours.
• A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
