Electric Connection is seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team. Wage DOE. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Duties

• Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems as directed.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or areas needing attention.
• Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all work processes.
• Participate in construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
• Learn to use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects while developing skills in frame carpentry as needed.

Experience

• Prior experience as a residential or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with electrical tools, including hand tools and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems gained through coursework or previous experience is advantageous.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics is a plus.
