Journeyman Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and building codes. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems. The successful candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics, and possess the ability to work with both high and low voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
• Conduct renovations involving electrical systems while adhering to safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks including frame carpentry when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial and commercial settings.
• Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Previous maintenance person experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
