Job Title – Approved electrician
Salary: JIB Rates earn up to £20.08 Per Hour
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Approved Electrician to join our team and will be pivotal to BI Electrical ongoing growth and success, and the job role will include . A full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week with overtime available
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out work according to BI Electrical policies and procedures
- Ensuring all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health & Safety legislation
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on the infrastructure as part of our reactive and follow up programs
- Carry out surveys and participate in joint site meetings
- Contribute towards coaching and mentoring programs to support and develop our emerging talent
Participate in our emergency standby rota
- You will undertake installation and completion tasks, including low voltage distribution cabling, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment, final circuit cabling, data networking, HVAC controls, fault finding, and minor reactive/remedial repairs.
- Performing Electrical Test and Inspection works and undertaking fault diagnosis
- Accurate completion and timely submission of company documentation are required.
- Liaise closely with electrical engineers to develop solutions and use your initiative to solve technical problems.
- Observe the highest levels of health and safety, carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task.
Skills & Qualifications:
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- testing and inspection qualification such as City & Guilds 2391, 2394/5, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in commercial contracts eg hospitals, schools etc.
- Time served as an Electrician
- C&G Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent
- Driving Licence
- Valid CSR card
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
