Job Description
BeTek Limited are seeking an experienced Approved Electrician for works throughout Scotland and North England.

We specialise in the refurbishment of Radiology rooms. Working for various X ray equipment manufacturers, fitting out X ray rooms to required specifications ready for equipment delivery.

This role is best suited to someone who is looking to take on a role with responsibility for the installation from start to finish. Keen to progress their career and confident organising their daily tasks to completion. Opportunity may be available to manage overall project and be responsible for all trades, delivering project at site level.

Assist on site with general tasks as and when required.

This role will require regular working away from home, Monday to Thursday 10-12hr days, Friday 2pm finish at latest to allow travel home. Accommodation booked in advance and overnight allowance of £25.00 per night food expenses.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics
• Ability to manage the installation, organise materials and overcome problems as they arise
• Be responsible for meeting installation key milestones
• Installation of containment and cabling
• Termination of different cabling at control panels and distribution boards
• Confident in carrying out permits for isolations, Inspection and Testing of 230/415v
• Work to a high standard, take pride in what you do to achieve a high quality of finish
• Work on own initiative and part of a team
• Work in strict compliance with BS7671, in particular section 710 medical locations. SHTM
• Good communication skills essential, as you will be required to liaise with estates and local staff for isolations, access etc.
• Comply with Health and Safety at all times
• Report to contracts manager on daily progress, providing updates on any issues and problems arising during works

Minimum Requirements

• 18th Edition Electrician with in-date ECS gold card
• Full driving license
• 2391 (very desirable)
• Competent Person Electrical LV Healthcare SHTM 06-01 (CPLVH) (desirable, but can be provided)
• Emergency 1st aid at work (desirable)
• SSSTS (desirable)

Pay: £27.00-£42.00 per hour
