Approved Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. We are predominantly looking for someone who is experienced in EICR's Inspection and Testing. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, along with practical skills in using hand tools and power tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to ongoing projects and ensure the safe operation of electrical infrastructure.

Location

We are a South Wales based company but the work will be on sites over all of South and West Wales.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Complete EICR's and all paperwork - Laptop Provided
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing electrical installations.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installation and repair tasks.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Document work activities clearly and maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications as an Electrician including Inspection and testing.
• Proven electrical experience in a similar role or environment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
