APRN/PA – Internal Medicine (South - Dr. Tavares) (FT)

Full-time Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Tavares and his established office-based practice at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (or until all patients are seen).

At least 1+ years of previous experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is preferred.

Job Duties include:

• Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients, including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice
• Accurately performs a history and physical examinations
• Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate
• Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures
• Completes necessary documentation promptly
• Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician
• Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical psychological status
• Documents examination results records progress notes and provide continuity of care.

Required:
BLS certification is required.

APRN/PA board certification is required.

Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.
