Could you be the full-time APSYS Support Specialist in Kolkata we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your operational excellence expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.You'll make a significant impact by driving continuous improvement and fostering team development using the APSYS methodology. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (shop floor teams, cross-functional teams, and operational leaders), facilitate problem-solving activities, and plan and arrange training sessions, R&R events, and operational excellence initiatives – and much more.You’ll specifically take care of mentoring and assessing KAIZENs on SQCD improvement at the shop floor with cross-functional teams, but also promote the use of lean tools and digital technologies to enhance processes.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting teams for improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) performance at the shop floor
  • Facilitating structured problem-solving activities (8D, A3, YB, GB projects)
  • Applying tools such as 5W2H, Kx analysis, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and REX
  • Planning and arranging classroom and remote training sessions, R&R events, and operational excellence events
  • Driving and promoting continuous improvement using APSYS methodology and roadmap
  • Utilizing digital tools like Power App, Power BI, and SharePoint for data capture, visualization, and decision-makingApplying and promoting Lean tools such as non-value-added observation, standard work, visual management, pull flows, and process mapping
  • Contributing to the improvement of manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, fitting, painting, and general assembly

All about you

  • Full-time BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • 2-3 years of experience in shop floor work in a related field
  • Basic knowledge of Lean and problem-solving methodologies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of digital tools such as Power App, Power BI, and SharePoint applications
  • Basic knowledge of coding (an added advantage)
  • Strong communication and analytical skillsProven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to initiate activities and effectively communicate ideas to cross-functional teams
