AR / AP Specialist

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented AR / AP Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of our company. Duties

• Process and monitor all accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, collections, and customer account management
• Handle accounts payable functions such as invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense coding
• Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions using accounting software like QuickBooks
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation
• Collaborate with human resources on benefits administration and payroll processing using systems

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions within a professional setting
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping methods
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Knowledge of payroll management systems including Paychex or ADP is highly desirable
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency)
• Ability to analyze financial data critically and perform account reconciliations efficiently
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and analysis tasks
