THE WORK:

As an SAP AR Reconciliation Specialist at Accenture, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing future-state Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation processes as part of a broader retail ERP transformation. You will act as the bridge between business and technology, embedding best practices into SAP while addressing the unique complexities of omni-channel retail. This role requires expertise in AR reconciliation, SAP tools, and process optimization, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Design and Implementation:

  • Lead the design of end-to-end AR reconciliation processes across Point of Sale (POS), e-commerce, payment gateways, and SAP FI/SD.
  • Support the implementation of SAP tools such as FSCM, Bank Communication Management, Lockbox, and Matching Engine to automate and streamline reconciliation processes.
  • Define business requirements, process flows, and controls to ensure accurate and timely reconciliations during and after the transformation.

2. Integration and Collaboration:

  • Work with functional and technical teams to integrate external payment providers and retail platforms into SAP reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Shared Services teams to ensure alignment of reconciliation processes with business objectives.

3. Testing and Change Management:

  • Support testing, cutover, and change management activities to validate new processes and ensure smooth adoption by Finance and Shared Services teams.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to define KPIs and reporting for reconciliation performance, exceptions, and aging.

4. Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls in the new operating model.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with AR reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.

5. Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business teams to embed sustainable practices post go-live.
  • Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials to support ongoing operations.

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Technical Expertise:

  • 4-6 years of experience in AR reconciliation, SAP FI/SD, and ERP transformation projects, preferably in a retail or omni-channel environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP tools such as FSCM, Bank Communication Management, Lockbox, and Matching Engine.
  • Strong understanding of AR reconciliation processes, including integration with POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and payment gateways.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls related to AR reconciliation.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex reconciliation challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail ERP transformations and integrating external payment providers with SAP.
  • Knowledge of omni-channel retail complexities and best practices for AR reconciliation.
  • SAP certifications in FI/SD or related modules are highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
