Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist with at least 3 years of experience in medical billing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims, following up on outstanding accounts, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the revenue cycle are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up on unpaid and denied insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
• Analyze and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Work on aging reports and prioritize accounts based on deadlines and value
• Communicate with insurance companies via calls or portals for claim status and resolution
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately in the billing system
• Identify trends in denials and report to management for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies
• Coordinate with internal teams (billing, coding, and front desk) to resolve discrepancies

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AR / Medical Billing
• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and revenue cycle management
• Experience with insurance portals, EOBs, and denial management
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office and medical billing software
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with US healthcare system and insurance policies
• Prior experience in a similar role in a medical billing company
• Certification in medical billing/coding is a plus
