Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Arabic, Gulf, and Yemeni dishes according to approved recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure authentic taste and presentation of traditional Gulf and Yemeni foods.
- Prepare daily mise en place and ensure kitchen readiness before service hours.
- Control food portions, garnishing, and serving standards.
Menu & Quality Control
- Assist in developing and improving menu items related to Arabic and Gulf cuisine.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Monitor food quality and freshness of ingredients daily.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper food storage procedures.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels for meat, spices, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Assist in inventory control and stock rotation (FIFO method).
- Ensure proper use of ingredients to control food cost.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Arabic, Gulf, and Yemeni cuisine.
- Strong experience in preparing dishes such as:
- Mandi
- Madfoon
- Kabsa
- Haneeth
- Majboos
- Grilled meats
- Traditional Arabic appetizers and sauces
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or central kitchens in Gulf countries.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
